Bill Mollison

Born May 4th 1928 in Stanley Tasmania

Died September 24th 2016 in Sisters Creek Tasmania

Known as the Father Of Permaculture.

His system advocated sustainable and self sufficient agricultural eco systems. The systems work with, rather than against nature, when producing food, and favoured cultivated species suited for local conditions.

He founded the Permaculture Institute in 1978.

Permaculture is now a global reality.

Permaculture Sydney West are suggesting members may like to follow Bill and plant a food tree to celebrate the life of this very great man.
