Scope of works
(Building your understanding of permaculture principles through practical skills)
- Build and fill 2 new raised beds 2.4m X 1.2m X 0.2m and mulch surrounds.
- This will be the household’s first dedicated vegetable growing space.Plant vegetable seedlings, flowers and shrubs. Food for people and pollinators.
- Prune trees and shrubs. Existing plants create rooms and flow throughout the yard. However, they are congested and some are restricting pathways.
- Build a 2-Bay composting system from pallets. Put the large volume of the organic waste generated back into the garden as compost.
Wear: Dress comfortably, according to the weather: closed shoes, hat, gloves and sunscreen.
Bring: Tools – shovels, picks, rakes, wheelbarrows, secateurs, loppers, pruning saws, ladders Power tools – Chain-saws, circular saws, drills, drill bits, shredder AND a little something for a shared morning tea!
