Description
Basil ‘Bolloso Napoletano’ (literally “blistered leaf from Naples”) is an Italian heirloom sweet variety. It is an aromatic, culinary annual herb growing up to 60cm tall. The leaves, which can be as big as an adult’s palm, are crinkled and tender, with a sweet flavour. The plant is highly fragrant. Eat fresh or in pesto. This variety can be grown in containers.
This basil may cross-pollinate with other varieties of Ocimum basilicum. If collecting seed, please check the Latin names of basil and allow only one variety to be in flower at any one time.
