Brassica oleracea var. capitata
Cabbage ‘Red Dutch’ has large, deep red, heads to 3.5kg. The texture is crisp and dense. Great flavour. Use raw, cooked or pickled. All cabbages are gross feeders so they need a rich, well-drained soil. Feed every two weeks with liquid organic fertiliser. Protect from slugs, snails, aphids, cabbage moth and white cabbage butterfly.
