Description

Comfrey is one of the plants most associated with Permaculture.

It has deep roots that can bring up minerals from deep in the soil.

Because it has a tangled root mass, plants can be used as an effective weed barrier.

The leaves are full of protein and can be used medicinally.

It is a classic “chop and drop” plant in permaculture gardens, useful for compost and making “comfrey tea”.
