Description

Hardenbergia is an evergreen Australian native climbing plant which needs a fence or trellis for support. It is moderately vigorous. It can also be grown as a groundcover but will climb anything in its path. This plant is drought and frost resistant. the pea-shaped flowers are either purple or white. Hardenbergia is a nitrogen-fixing plant if the necessary rhizobia are present in soil. Seed must be scraped on concrete then soaked for 24 hours before being sown. Hardengeria seedlings prefer a sandy soil. Soil temperature must be above 21°C.
