Description
Lettuce ‘Lollo Rossa’ is a non-hearting, Italian variety. The leaves have a lime-green base, with crimson-red ruffled edges. It can be grown in 33 days for baby leaves, 55 days to full size. Succession sow every three weeks to increase harvest length.
All varieties of lettuce, whether looseleaf, butterhead, cos, Romaine, or iceberg can be easily cross-pollinated with each other. If growing more than one variety for seed, the best strategy is to allow only one variety to be in flower at a time.
