Description

Lettuce ‘Oakleaf Red’ is a loose-leaf type. The leaves start green and mature to dark red. This is a good variety in hot weather. Succession sow every three weeks to increase harvest length.
All varieties of lettuce, whether looseleaf, butterhead, cos, Romaine, or iceberg can be easily cross-pollinated with each other. If growing more than one variety for seed, the best strategy is to allow only one variety to be in flower at a time.
