Description
Lettuce ‘RabbIt Ear’ is a compact, open hearted, upright plant to 18cm, with small, dark green, pointed leaves. This variety is slow to bolt. It tolerates some shade, especially in hot weather. Pick leaves as needed. Succession sow every three weeks to increase harvest length.
All varieties of lettuce, whether looseleaf, butterhead, cos, Romaine, or iceberg can be easily cross-pollinated with each other. If growing more than one variety for seed, the best strategy is to allow only one variety to be in flower at a time.
