Description
Lettuce ‘Webb’s Wonderful’ is a large, dark green, heading, iceberg variety with a firm, white heart. The leaves are crisp and sweet. Like most iceberg-type lettuces, this variety does not like hot weather. ‘Webb’s Wonderful’ is a popular variety with home gardeners in the UK. Succession sow every three weeks to increase harvest length.
All varieties of lettuce, whether looseleaf, butterhead, cos, Romaine, or iceberg can be easily cross-pollinated with each other. If growing more than one variety for seed, the best strategy is to allow only one variety to be in flower at a time.
