Description

Marigold ‘Licorice’ is also known as ‘Licorice Herb’ or ‘Licorette’. The plants grow up to 30cm high and 30cm wide. It is a leafy annual herb with a strong aroma. The leaves have flavour that is similar to licorice. The plants grow best in full sun, with regular water. The small, white flowers appear in autumn. The leaves of this plant are used to add a subtle taste of licorice to dishes or to make tea.
This plant is Tagetes micrantha which is not the same thing as perennial root licorice, Glycyrrhiza glabra.
