Description
Mustard ‘Green Wave’ is an annual to 40cm. It has large green leaves, ruffled at the edges. The flavour is strong, particularly in older leaves but becomes milder when cooked. Young leaves can be used in salads. This variety is slow to bolt. Succession sow every two or three weeks to extend harvest and avoid a glut.
This variety can cross with other varieties of Brassica juncea but not with other mustards that are members of the species Brassica rapa.
Like all brassicas, mustards need protection from cabbage butterflies and moths, and cabbage aphids. Slugs and snails also like young mustard plants.
