Description
Poppy ‘Flanders’ is the poppy of remembrance. In Western Sydney, it flowers around November. It is a self-seeding annual to 60cm, producing bright red flowers with black centres. This variety is also known as “corn poppy” or “field poppy”. Flanders poppies seed freely. Tiny plants can be lost beneath more aggressive neighbours. Tolerant of poor soils. Blooms are easily lost to strong winds.
