Description

Pumpkin ‘Black Jap’ is a rare variety that has more pumpkin flavour than ordinary Jap pumpkin. Glossy green to black skin and orange flesh. The fruit on the same vine will vary in size, from small to medium, with the occasional large pumpkin. Good storage life.
This variety of squash will cross-pollinate with any other variety of Cucurbita pepo which includes some squash, some zucchini and some pumpkins. If you are collecting seeds and concerned about cross-pollination, please refer to the Latin name of squash, pumpkin and/or zucchini plants before growing.
