Rockmelon ‘PetIt Gris de Rennes’ (literally “small grey of Rennes”: a town in France) is a French heirloom. It has green, flecked skin and orange flesh. The vine yields early-maturing fruit which are about 1 kg each. This variety is popular because of its size, flavour and fragrance. The vine is compact making It good for small suburban gardens. A good variety in cooler summers’ protect from hot afternoon sun in western Sydney summers.
