Description
Spinach ‘Bloomsdale Long Standing’ is true spinach, sometimes called “English spinach”. It is a low-growing, high-yielding, cool-season heirloom vegetable with thick, crinkled leaves. It can be used as ‘baby spinach’ when young. True spinach will bolt as the weather warms. Loved by snails, slugs, mice and rats.
True spinach is not related to the beet family (beetroot, chard, silverbeet, perpetual spinach) and can be grown near them without any risk of cross-pollination.
