Sunflower ‘Giant Single’ is a fast-growing annual plant to 2 metres. It needs a sheltered spot out of strong winds. The large open flowers have yellow petals and a yellow centre. ‘Giant Single’ is drought tolerant.
All sunflowers attract birds and beneficial insects to the garden. If growing for seed, protect the flower heads from birds after pollination has been completed; that is, when bees stop visiting the plants.
