Description
Common Thyme is a perennial herb to 35 cm, tolerant of poor soil and dry conditions. Thyme is an evergreen plant with small, fragrant, dark green leaves. Use the leaves fresh or dried. The plant attracts beneficial insects when in flower. Cut back hard when it becomes straggly. Being a Mediterranean herb it grows best in wet winters and hot, dry summers. Ensure the soil in containers or garden is well-drained.
