Description

Tomato ‘Cherokee Purple’ is an indeterminate (climbing) vine which will need support. The medium-sized, beefsteak-type fruit are flattened and round, with purple–pink skin and dark shoulders. The flesh can be purple, green or brown. The flavour is smoky-sweet.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
