Description

Tomato ‘Green Zebra’ is an indeterminate (climbing) variety which needs support. This variety is a “modern heirloom” introduced in 1983. The crack-resistant fruit is medium-sized, starting with green-on-green stripes. The fruit is ripe when the stripes turn yellow. The flavour is sweet and tangy. Ideal for sauces, chutneys and salsa.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
