Description
Tomato ‘Grosse Lisse’ is a mid-season indeterminate (climbing) variety to 1.8 metres; needs support. Medium to large sized red fruit are typically about 200g each. The flavour is sweet and slightly acidic. This variety gives high yields over an extended period of time. ‘Grosse Lisse’ was once the most popular home-grown variety, due to its reliability, abundant fruit production, and versatile flavour.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
