Description
Tomato ‘Red Grape’ is a climber (indeterminate) vine and will need support. It produces small, grape-sized, red fruit over a long period, with 6–8 fruits per truss. It can flower as early as December and continue until February, depending on when seed was started. Grape tomatoes are smaller than cocktail tomatoes, have thicker skins and are less sweet and more meaty.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
