Description
Tomato ‘Roma’ is a compact annual (determinate) bush which may need support. The plants can be grown in large containers. The red cylindrical fruit is 10cm long. Roma is a popular variety for eating fresh or cooking. All the fruit from one plant ripens in a short period of time, which makes this variety ideal for bottling or drying. Succession sow to increase harvest length.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
