Description
Alyssum ‘Cameo Mix’ is a spreading, annual ground cover to 10cm tall, with white, pink and mauve flowers that attract bees and other pollinators. This plant has a long blooming period, often several months, although the plants become straggly as they age. Alyssum can be grown in containers. The small, soft leaves struggle in really hot weather so keep an eye on them during the western Sydney summer and early autumn. This plant needs fertile, well-draining soil; it is not at all tolerant of poor soils. Alyssum varieties can self-seed. Plants that are growing where they are not wanted can be lifted and planted elsewhere with care.
