Hyssop is a perennial, evergreen, culinary and medicinal herb to 50cm. Strong, bitter, mint-like flavour, used in soups, stews, salad, meat and egg dishes. Spires of purple-blue flowers in summer attract pollinators. Could be grown as a productive, small hedge.
