Description
Melon ‘Golden Beauty’ is a traditional Turkish casaba melon with a tough, wrinkled rind that ripens to a rich golden yellow. The thick white flesh is sweet, aromatic, and similar to honeydew, with a clean flavour and excellent keeping quality — often storing for months after harvest. Fruit are medium‑large, typically 15–20 cm and 3–3.5 kg, and develop best in warm conditions. Leave melons on the vine until the stem dries and separates easily, as casabas do not ripen once picked.
It is best to grow only one melon variety at a time if saving seed, as all Cucumis melo types cross readily.
