Description

Pumpkin ‘Ebisu’ is a Japanese variety, of ‘Kabocha Squash’. Several fruits are produced on each vine. The smooth, green skin is mottled with lighter green, and is edible when cooked. The flesh is orange and sweet, with a fine texture.
This variety of pumpkin will cross-pollinate with any other variety of Cucurbita moschata, including some squash and zucchini, but not with pumpkins of the species C. pepo or C. maxima. If you are collecting seeds and concerned about cross-pollination, please refer to the Latin name of squash, pumpkin and/or zucchini plants before growing.
