Description

Pumpkin ‘Whangaparaoa Crown’ is an heirloom from New Zealand. Medium-sized fruits to 30cm diameter. Firm flesh, excellent flavour. Good roasting variety. Small seed cavity. Stores well.
This variety of pumpkin will cross-pollinate with any other variety of Cucurbita maxima but not with pumpkins of the speices C. pepo or C. moschata. If you are collecting seeds and concerned about cross-pollination, please refer to the Latin name of squash, pumpkin and/or zucchini plants before growing.
