Description
Squash ‘Crookneck Early Yellow’, also called Zucchini ‘Crookneck’, is a vigorous bush that can be trained on a trellis to save space. The bottle-shaped fruits have crooked necks. The flesh is white, tender, and has good flavour. ‘Crookneck’ is a high-yielding plant. Summer squash generally have thin skins and are best eaten fresh, not stored long-term.
This variety of squash will cross-pollinate with any other variety of Cucurbita pepo which includes some squash, some zucchini and some pumpkins. If you are collecting seeds and concerned about cross-pollination, please refer to the Latin name of squash, pumpkin and/or zucchini plants before growing.
