Sunflower ‘Hi-Sun’ is an annual to 120 cm. It has long yellow petals and a darker yellow centre. Owing to its height, the plants need shelter from strong winds. ‘Hi-Sun’ is an excellent cut flower.
All sunflowers attract birds and beneficial insects to the garden. If growing for seed, protect the flower heads from birds after pollination has been completed; that is, when bees stop visiting the plants.
