Description

Tomato ‘Pink Bumblebee’ is an heirloom from the USA. It is an indeterminate (climbing) vine and requires staking. The oval-shaped fruits are 2.5cm–4cm in diameter, with pink and red striped skin. The pink flesh is sweet and has great flavour. This variety is highly productive over an extended period.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
