Seed Savers Meetings

PSW Seed Savers meetings are held on the fourth Saturday of the month, except January, June and December. We are not looking for experts, we need willing workers who want to learn some new skills, or share their skills with others!

The next Seed Savers team meeting will be on Saturday 28 February, starting at 10am and finishing at 1pm, although those who wish to hang around and do some more work are welcome!

We meet in the carport of the Seed Savers team leaders in Emu Heights, an easy drive along the M4 from Parramatta or the M7 and M4 from the Hills district. Email for the address.

ACTIVITIES FOR THE DAY:

  • sowing seeds for the upcoming autumn growing season
  • packing seeds
  • cleaning seeds
  • general cleaning and maintenance

Please bring something to share for morning tea. We love homegrown and homemade goodies!
(If you don’t have time to make something, something bought will be fine; or don’t bring anything – no pressure intended!)
There will be tea, coffee, full-cream dairy milk, white sugar, boiling water and tap water for your use.
Please bring your own mug, cup or glass, thank you.

CHILDREN
Children over the age of six are welcome to attend Seed Savers meetings. We have a junior program and they will be expected to participate in the work being done.
Children under six will remain under your supervision. The site is steep and next to bushland (with all the associated wildlife) so please ensure you know where your child is at all times.

PLEASE NOTE:
You must be a current financial member of either Permaculture Sydney West or Permaculture Sydney North to attend Seed Savers meetings regularly. One time visitors, novice or experienced seed savers, are welcome.

If there are any questions, please contact Lynne.

See you at the next meeting.
