Basil ‘Red Rubin’ is an annual, bushy plant, 50cm-70cm tall. It has large, shiny, purple-bronze leaves and lavender-pink flowers. The leaves have an intense basil flavour and make a great colour contrast in salads. This variety can be grown in containers or in the ornamental garden.
This basil may cross-pollinate with other varieties of Ocimum basilicum. If collecting seed, please check the Latin names of basil and allow only one variety to be in flower at any one time.
