Description
Dahlia ‘Bishop of Llandaff’ is a classic heritage dahlia grown for its bright red flowers and dark burgundy foliage. It reaches about 1m tall and has strong stems that usually do not need staking. This variety flowers from late summer into autumn and adds bold colour to garden beds and large pots. Plant in full sun and free-draining soil for best results.
Dahlias cross-pollinate easily. If collecting seed for later use, it is best to hand‑pollinate flowers early in the morning, then cover them with a paper or organza bag to stop insect pollinators from visiting that flower.
