Hollyhock is a tall biennial 1.5 to 2 metres which may need staking. It is a pretty leafy plant in the first year, flowers in summer in the second year. This seed was collected from a plant that had salmon pink flowers. Because hollyhocks can cross-pollinate with each other, the colour of the flowers may vary.
