Description
Lettuce ‘Bronze Mignonette’ is an heirloom, introduced in 1898. This variety is excellent in warm and humid conditions. ‘Bronze Mignonette’ is a butterhead type with bronze tinged leaves that have a sweet flavour. This variety will grow in full or part sun. Succession sow every three weeks to increase harvest length.
All varieties of lettuce, whether looseleaf, butterhead, cos, Romaine, or iceberg can be easily cross-pollinated with each other. If growing more than one variety for seed, the best strategy is to allow only one variety to be in flower at a time.
