Description

Lettuce ‘Cos Verdi’ is a green cos (Romaine) lettuce. It grows tall and upright. The dark green, elongated leaves have a sweet flavour. Harvest leaves as needed or grow to maturity. A mature cos lettuce should have a firm heart. Succession sow every three weeks to increase harvest length.
All varieties of lettuce, whether looseleaf, butterhead, cos, Romaine, or iceberg can be easily cross-pollinated with each other. If growing more than one variety for seed, the best strategy is to allow only one variety to be in flower at a time.
