Description
Lettuce ‘Regina della Ghiacciole’ (literally “Queen of Icicles”) is an Italian heirloom, iceberg-style lettuce. It has crisp leaves with good flavour. Like most iceberg-type lettuces, this variety does not like hot weather. Succession sow every three weeks to increase harvest length.
All varieties of lettuce, whether looseleaf, butterhead, cos, Romaine, or iceberg can be easily cross-pollinated with each other. If growing more than one variety for seed, the best strategy is to allow only one variety to be in flower at a time.
