Description
Lettuce ‘Ricciolina da Taglio’ is an Italian heirloom. The name loosely translates as ‘Old Man’s Beard’. It is a non-hearting variety with green, curly leaves. Outer leaves can be picked as needed over a long season. Succession sow every three weeks to increase harvest length.
All varieties of lettuce, whether looseleaf, butterhead, cos, Romaine, or iceberg can be easily cross-pollinated with each other. If growing more than one variety for seed, the best strategy is to allow only one variety to be in flower at a time.
