Description

Oregano is a perennial creeping herb to 60cm which thrives in full sun in well-drained soils. It has a strong fragrance and a strong, earthy, slightly bitter flavour. Oregano is used in Italian, Greek and Mediterranean cooking, or as a seasoning for roasted vegetables or fish. Flowers, which can be pink or mauve, attract beneficial insects.
