Description

Tomato ‘Beam’s Yellow Pear’ is an indeterminate (climbing) vine to 1.5 metres, and will need support. Fruit is borne over an extended period, up to six kilograms of fruit per plant. Yellow, pear-shaped fruits grow up to 4cm in length. The flavour is mild and sweet, with low acidity.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
