Tomato ‘Black Krim’ is an indeterminate (climbing) vine to 1.8 metres, which needs support. The dark-purple fruits are medium to large in size, usually 8–12cm in diameter, weighing 200g–400g each. The flavour is tangy, smoky and subtly sweet.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
