Description

Tomato ‘Oxheart Red’ is an indeterminate (climbing) vine which needs support. Large, heart-shaped fruit to 450g, which is ideal for slicing. The fruit has thick flesh and a rich, sweet flavour. This variety has few seeds, making it ideal for sauces. ‘Oxheart Red’ grows well in cooler summers.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
