Description
Tomato ‘Thai Pink Egg’ is a determinate (bush) tomato to 1.2 metres. It may need staking to stay upright. Plants can be grown in large containers. The fruit is small, pink and egg-shaped to 4cm long and tastes sweet. This variety of tomato is best eaten fresh. It is a popular variety in Thai markets. ‘Thai Pink Egg’ has been bred for hot, humid conditions so is ideal for western Sydney gardens, especially where space is limited. Succession sow for a longer harvest.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
