Description
Turnip ‘Golden Globe’ is a root vegetable with pale yellow skin and deep yellow flesh. The flavour is sweet, tender and mild. The roots grow 7–10cm in diameter. This variety stores well.
Turnips can cross-pollinate each other, and other Brassica rapa plants, such as Asian vegetables (Bok Choi, Pak Choi, Tatsoi) and mustards grown for edible leaves.
Like all brassicas, turnips need protection from cabbage butterflies and moths, and cabbage aphids.
