Description

Celery ‘Amsterdam’ has an intense celery flavour. It resembles Italian parsley with thin stalks and many leaves. Used to flavour soups and stews. Pick outside stems as needed.Celery is a very thirsty plant and we’ll become bitter if the soil is not kept moist enough.Celery is suitable for growing in containers.Celery is a biennial plant which means that It produces flowers and seeds in the second year. Allow the flowers to turn brown and the seeds to form before removing from the plant. Harvesting is easiest if the whole flowering head and stems are placed in a paper bag upside-down.
