Description
Goji Berry, also known as ‘Boxthorn’ or ‘Chinese Wolfberry’, is a tough, self-pollinating shrub to 2 metres. This variety has mauve flowers which make way for large, purple-black berries which are highly nutritious. Fruit, which can be eaten fresh or dried, is produced from the third year onwards. A dark purple-coloured tea can be made from the fruit. Leaves are toxic. This plant has thorns on the end of the stems; wear gloves when working with this plant.
