Description
Watermelon ‘Cream of Saskatchewan’ has cream-coloured flesh, which is sweet and juicy. Thin skin can split when ripe. Four fruits per plant, each fruit can be up to 4.5kg. This variety is susceptible to mildew, which affects the leaves, rarely, the fruit; avoid overhead watering.
Any watermelon can cross-pollinate with other varieties of watermelon but cannot cross-pollinate with rockmelons, honeydew melons or specialty-type melons like ‘Santa Claus’.
