Description
Lettuce ‘Michelle’ is a French heirloom. It has crunchy, crispy, red-tinged, green leaves with loose heads. Cold weather brings out the red colour. This variety can handle warmer weather than some other varieties. It is a bolt resistant variety. Succession sow every three weeks to increase harvest length.
All varieties of lettuce, whether looseleaf, butterhead, cos, Romaine, or iceberg can be easily cross-pollinated with each other. If growing more than one variety for seed, the best strategy is to allow only one variety to be in flower at a time.
