Description
Pumpkin ‘Small Sugar’ is an heirloom introduced in 1887. It is a small, sweet pumpkin, up to 18cm in diameter. The fruits have orange skin and orange flesh. Often used in pumpkin pies. This variety could also be used for baking, soups and casseroles.
This variety of squash will cross-pollinate with any other variety of Cucurbita pepo which includes some squash, some zucchini and some pumpkins. If you are collecting seeds and concerned about cross-pollination, please refer to the Latin name of squash, pumpkin and/or zucchini plants before growing.
